On February 11 the CCBC Diversity Committee met over lunch to hear a talk on diversity and inclusion practices in the supply chain in Latin America, given by Natália Torres, Partner of WEConnect International.
- CSCU Experience Class – Course on Data Protection (LGPD)
On February 3 and 4 CCBC members were given exclusive access to the CSCU Experience Class – Course on Data Protection (General Law on Data Protection – LGPD), given and certified by ACADI-TI.
A unique experience of one of the major training and awareness programs on data protection and internet privacy, developed by EC Council, world leader in the training and certification of cybersecurity professionals.
Through an interactive process, the participants learned how various security threats to computers and networks operate, such as identity theft, credit card fraud, phishing, loss of confidential information, hacker attacks and so on.
- FCR Law and CCBC – BRAZIL 2020 – FCR Law et CCBC – BRÉSIL 2020
On February 19 the seminar “Brazil 2020 – Opportunities for business, trade and investment for business people in Quebec”, was held in Montreal by the CCBC jointly with FCR Law – Fleury, Coimbra & Rhomberg Advogados, the Brazilian Consulate General in Montreal and the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation (MEI).
The event was attended by Brazilian diplomat Luiz Fernando Deo Evangelista, who spoke to the participants about Brazil’s economic and political prospects, Verónique Perron, who explained how the Government of Quebec can support trade diversification, Eduardo Fleury and Philippe Jeffrey, who discussed the legal and tax situation of companies from Quebec that invest abroad, and François Godbout, who described successful case histories of business done in Brazil.
